Virunga National Park

As you may have read, The Virunga National Park has been taken over by rebels. Not only is Virunga a World Heritage Site, it is home to one third of the remaining Mountain Gorilla population (that's 200 of 700 Mountain Gorillas), the rangers who risk their lives to keep the park in order and their families. The main fighting is occurring in the Gorilla park.

Please go to the Virunga National Park website, watch the videos on the main page, read the blog and donate. Every little bit helps and they need a lot of help right now. I'm donating all profit from the sale of my Virunga watercolor today on Landscape into Art to support Ranger Evacuation from Virunga during this time of crisis.

Watch a good video on the Mountain Gorilla in Congo.
