Last of the year

I can't help myself. June 15th and at least three more new robins! Mother robin seems to be on her own at this late date — no extra guard by the nest — so I'm not going to risk freaking her out by climbing and reaching to photograph her latest brood. I'll wait to see how many heads eventually pop up.

wow your robin is a busy robin! we have fledged robins around the yard now. I am sure most of the adults are on the second brood. it was a very wet and cold spring here. Good luck to the wee robins.

Can you believe how nekked they are when they hatch?
I posted some robins on my NRACL blog. First the eggs and then the naked babies. Sweet!
