Nothing comes from nothing

Parmenides may not have had this particular usage in mind but I think it's an apt title for this post of my mother's two surviving watercolors. These were not on my mind when I made the seascapes I've posted to Landscape into Art, but when I came across them today, I had to share them with you. If you're following my painting blog, you'll see some resemblance.
